Best Landscape: a service website and client portal

Two parts of one project: a public website for landscaping services in Surrey and a portal connecting clients with the team.

About the project

Best Landscape & Gardening presents landscaping and garden maintenance services in Surrey, United Kingdom. A visitor to the public website needs to find the right service, understand the coverage area and get in touch. The project also has a web application component for clients and the team’s recurring work.

Cobalt’s contribution

  • A public website for landscaping and gardening services.
  • Service information and contact routes organised within the website.
  • A client and team portal, presented in the portfolio around scheduled visits, recurring services and maintenance records.

The public website: services, coverage and contact

Navigation separates landscaping from garden maintenance. The public page presents services such as patios, fencing, garden maintenance and lawn care, with links to detail pages and contact. A postcode coverage check gives visitors a starting point for an enquiry within the service area.

The portal: a space for recurring work

Best Landscape App is the portal component of the project. Cobalt’s published project presentation describes it around the relationship between clients and the team, including visits, recurring services and maintenance records. The public website and portal therefore serve different purposes: presenting the offer and organising the working relationship.

What to look for in this example

The project shows how a new visitor’s experience can be separated from that of a returning client. On the website, you can explore the service structure and routes to contact; the portal component is available at the application address. For a similar project, we discuss who uses each area and which information needs to move between them.

The published work

Planning a website with a client portal

Prepare the service list, coverage area, user types and steps involved in recurring work. It helps to agree which information is public and which belongs to each client relationship before defining the application’s screens and functions.
